BENJAMIN FÖCKERSPERGER

CHIEF ESPORTS OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER (HEAD OF BERLIN OFFICE AND ESPORTS UNIVERSITY)

Benjamin has been a gamer all his life. At the age of 16, he started a LAN party event in southern Germany. That event is still around at: https://gamers-congress.de/ (German only).

He played everything from Age of Empires, Gothic, and Guild Wars 2, to Medal of Honor, Splinter Cell, and Call of Duty.

Through his LAN party events, Ben appeared on regional and national TV several times to show older generations

that gaming is not a bad thing and is here to stay.

Ben studied Game Producing at the Games Academy in Berlin. He co-founded the browsergames company SlipShift before opening up an online Casino in Malta, which grew into Jackpot.de. This is where he learned how to push big brands into the market and acquire a lot of players and media attention.

Since then, Ben has built several companies from scratch and spent too much time playing League of Legends, and more recently Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

Ben will be responsible for the eSports part as well as the community portal. From building the content team to the overall marketing strategy – this is where his knowledge and network as a seasoned gamer shines.

PHILIPP GEPPERT

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER & CO-FOUNDER (HEAD OF PRAGUE OFFICE)

Philipp started his career writing studies and reports for the MKW GmbH in Saarbrücken, Germany. These studies focused on cross border labour, allowing him to become one of the specialists in the Economy of Culture on a European level.

He worked as an independent consultant in international commercial real estate Miami for three years. During his time in Miami, he came in touch with the gambling markets and he decided to move to Costa Rica. There, he worked at a sports book: 2.5 years serving as the COO and five years as the CEO of the company.

As a Co-Founder, Philipp, is our betting brain in the company and will run the Prague office. He knows his way around League of Legends and just recently started playing Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

ROBIN LAWSON

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

Robin started his career in stock trading establishing many profitable connections before
moving into private and commercial real estate, focusing on projects ranging from the UK to Abu Dhabi.
During this time in real estate, Robin began his first venture into casinos, becoming one of the founding members of a VIP department creating revenue upwards of 10 million € per month, with 7 years of continual growth.
Robin then in his late 20’s became operations head for vip retention and sign ups for a leading European casino, encompassing a complete Operations skill set.
Over 10 years in European gaming have fine-tuned Robin’s skillset and allowed him to grow into an experienced, proven leader in the gaming industry. Becoming part of the team is the natural next step for him in this field.

MICHAEL BRODA

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Michael started his career after studying banking as a banker in Commerzbank in Germany. Later, he moved into investment banking. He earned an MBA in Banking and Finance, a Master in Strategic Management and was licensed as a broker for the Bank, including trading of financial derivatives.

In 2007, he founded his own investment company – www.deltacapital.cz – in Prague, which is still successfully running in several business areas and is also well known in the CEE startup scene. In early 2017, Michael transitioned from corporate executive to being a member of the supervisory board.

20 years of experience with European investment has turned Michael into a top financial leader in Central Europe, making him a great CFO.

IVAN NIKOLAEV

HEAD OF ESPORTS TRADING

Ivan is an E-sports player and enthusiast all his life. He participated in the WCG playing StarCraft: BW, but is among the Global elites in CS:GO as well. SC2 is another strategy in which he dominates the recreational players. He holds a PhD degree in Business administration and was giving lectures in Strategic planning.

Couple of years after he started working in the trading environment in Playtech, he started his own company based on sports predictions and gambling advisory. He gained experience in the business and with his E-sports enthusiasm, was invited to create an e-sports trading team from the scratch for the Pokerstars sportsbook –BetStars. He made it happen, making the E-sports the third biggest sport for the bookie at that time.

Since then Ivan has been invited to several Sports odds and platform providers as a consultant in order to improve their E-sports offering and models.

At our portal Ivan is Head of eSports Trading, which means he leads our team responsible for the betting odds as well as the decisions on which markets we can offer for betting. He has quite some experience in doing this for regular sports as well as eSports.

HRISTO “AMON AGLAR” TRAKTORSKI

PRODUCT OWNER

Hristo is a gamer through and through. Counter-Strike was the first game that made him dream about a gaming career. After earning a university degree in economics, Hristo set out to work in the gaming industry, and found himself doing eSports events organisation. In 2016, he worked as organiser and head administrator for the CS:GO portion of Game Evolution 2016, the biggest eSports event in Bulgaria to date.

Hristo also has experience in casting, analysing and making predictions for eSports matches. Additionally, he helps other people become better gamers, coaching them on how to achieve their goals. In late 2015, Hristo started working for Kinguin where he was involved in the expansion of the CS:GO part of the company.

At our portal Hristo is our Product Owner. He is responsible for creating the features and descriptions that will eventually become our community portal.

BENJAMIN KRATSCH

GLOBAL CONTENT DIRECTOR

Benjamin is a gaming and eSport journalist, as well as content strategy and social media specialist with 10 years worth of experience. He has been published on high profile media outlets such as EDGE, Inverse, RedBull and RedBull eSports, GQ and Playboy. Benjamin has also worked as an on-air eSports host for NBC Universal. He has consulted for Red Bull Germany and UK for multiple years on scaling their editorial channels. Most recently, Benjamin was responsible for building up an entire eSport channel for NBC and Syfy.

During his career, Benjamin has met with a huge variety of game developers, both small and large. He is well known for his portraits and interviews, not only in the gaming industry but also lifestyle world. He has interviewed numerous Hollywood actors and actresses, from Robert Downey Jr. to Ellen Page. Why does this matter? We want we want to give you exclusive access to the world of eSports, and Benjamin has proven time and again that he has the skill to make that happen.

DR. JOSEPH F BORG

LEGAL COUNSEL

Dr. Joseph F. Borg is an advocate, acting currently a Senior Advisor to WH Partners, practicing mainly on Gaming, Blockchain, Esports, Corporate, IT, Telecoms and Intellectual Property Law. He also lectures Gaming Law at the University of Malta. Joe occupied the role of Secretary General of the Malta IT Law Association (MITLA) for over 3 years and is currently the Vice-President and Co-Founder of Bitmalta, which is a non-profit organisation with a mission to promoting and stimulating discussion about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in Malta. Before joining WH Partners he occupied the post of Chief Regulatory Officer of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority - Malta.

Joe was also an elected Member on the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), a position which he held throughout 2012. He had originally joined the Authority in March 2007 as Director Legal and Enforcement and has occupied this position for almost 4 years. Before joining the Authority, Joseph, acted as a Legal Counsel to Vodafone Malta Limited for three years.

Joseph was conferred with an LL.M. in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law at the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow), with Distinction. Earlier, he was awarded the LL.D. from the University of Malta, after writing and successfully defending a thesis entitled, ‘Protection of Trademarks Against Domain Names’. In November 2000, Joseph graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Legal and Humanistic Studies. Joseph went on an Erasmus Exchange in 2002 at the Facolta di Giurisprudenza of the Universita’ degli Studi di Bologna. In 2009 he completed a Regulator Development Program organized by the International Gaming Institute at the University.

Melissa is an investor/advisor in several companies in iGaming, Cryptocurrency, eSports and fantasy sports. Her prior experience in the iGaming sector includes senior executive roles with operators and banking advisory capacity. Prior to iGaming, Melissa was a partner at a $450m MediaTech fund. Melissa has a BA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University.

Eric has over 10 years of experience working in and around Financial Technology. He has delivered innovative SaaS systems for some of today’s biggest institutions around payments, identity, and banking infrastructure. Eric has been in the Blockchain space for the past few years and has been responsible for helping build some of today’s most exciting Blockchain businesses: GoCoin, Changetip, Uphold, Credits, Blockex, Trueflip.io, Dao.casino - you name it... He is currently Managing Director for Cryptopay, which has been one of the longest running bitcoin exchanges, merchant processors, and pre-paid bitcoin card issuers.

Mate is an entrepreneur at heart.

In 2012, he graduated from the International Business School in Budapest.

After college, he helped launch Superior14 a food supplement company.

Mate first heard about Bitcoin in late 2012 and began bitcoin mining in mid-2013 using custom-built ASIC miners.

Later he founded the Bitcoin news and review website called Bitcoinist.

In 2015 he joined Bitcoin.com as the 2nd employee and has been working on the Bitcoin.com project ever since as the COO.

His ultimate goal and passion is to make cryptocurrencies as popular as possible.

He loves traveling to conferences and meeting new people.

Mate was also a former wakeboard world champion and he loves sports.

In his free time, he likes to CrossFit and enjoys Brazilian Jujitsu.

A digital native from Berlin, he has been working several years in IT as a ScrumMaster & Business Analyst.

He went all-in on Blockchain in March 2016, primarily since he believes it’s the tool to help us help our Selfs.

Until recently he supported æternity with numerous tasks for almost a year, now he is consulting and facilitating blockchain projects & ideas.

A self titled ‘IT-Alchemist’, he is visualizing and distilling ideas into use cases, mockups and pitch decks.

HEIKO HUBERTZ

FORMER FOUNDER OF BIGPOINT.COM AND CEO OF WHOW GAMES

Heiko Hubertz is the CEO of Whow Games GmbH with its major brand Jackpot (Jackpot.de). He is the founder of Bigpoint GmbH, a company ranked among the Top 5 developers and publishers of browser and online games on the planet. His acute entrepreneurial skills have also been placed on display in the past as Hubertz is the founder and CEO of both the AASP GmbH and the Coolspot AG.

Trained as a computer scientist, he is seen as a pioneer in the gaming industry and has, as the CEO of Bigpoint, effectively won over players, distribution partners, and international investors such as NBC-Universal/GMT for the company since 2002. In 2011, Hubertz sold 70% of the Bigpoint GmbH and became a member of the supervisory board.

His entrepreneurial acumen and flair for digital trends have not gone unnoticed on the awards front. For example, he won a prize presented by Red Herring TOP 100 Europe and is also recognized as one of the Top 10 most important Internet Managers in Germany.

He currently serves as a business angel in supporting promising start-ups and Internet projects such as Kreditech, Easybill, and Hitfox. The 37-year-old kicked off 2014 with the founding of the Whow Games GmbH, a social casino company for which he actively serves as the CEO. Heiko Hubertz has residencies in Hamburg, Germany and on the Spanish island of Majorca.

ESTEBAN VAN GOR

ICO & CRYPTOCURRENCY EXPERT, LAWYER

Esteban obtained his law decree in tax law at the University of Maastricht in 2010. He has a special focus on VAT aspects occurring within the digital economy (amongst which bitcoin, gaming and iGaming).

Esteban first heard about bitcoin in 2012 and started researching about bitcoin, blockchain technology and other cryptocurrencies. He started writing several articles about VAT and bitcoin and is a regular speaker on tax and legal matters at bitcoin and blockchain related conferences.

Furthermore, Esteban provides guidance and is involved with various tech (bitcoin/blockchain related) start-up companies, in relation to their VAT (taxation) matters and other legal implications.

His ultimate goal is to get people aware of bitcoin and blockchain technology and to help as much as he can to get this industry grow.

In his free time Esteban likes to travel and of course read about crypto.
